Transparency in pricing

Support at Home prices, without the nasty surprises

The prices below show the rates used for Avanza Care services. Your personal contribution is different from the service price: clinical supports have no participant contribution, while some independence and everyday living services may have a contribution based on your circumstances.

Effective from 1 November 2025. Prices are reviewed annually in line with government indexation and will be updated here when they change.

Funding and classifications

Your Support at Home budget is set by assessment

Support at Home has 8 ongoing classifications. Your classification is set through your aged care assessment, and the annual budget is released in quarterly amounts.

Unspent funds

What happens if you do not use the full quarter

Quarterly carry-over You can carry over unspent Support at Home funds into the next quarter, capped at $1,000 or 10% of your quarterly budget, whichever is greater.
Existing HCP balances If you had unspent Home Care Package funds before moving to Support at Home, those funds carry over and remain available for approved supports.

Participant contributions

What you may personally contribute

You only contribute toward services you actually use. Clinical supports have a 0% participant contribution. Independence and everyday living services may have a contribution based on your pension or income status.

Full pensioner

Clinical 0%; Independence 5%; Everyday Living 17.5%.

Part pensioner

Clinical 0%; Independence 5% to 50%; Everyday Living 17.5% to 80%.

Self-funded retiree

Clinical 0%; Independence 50%; Everyday Living 80%.

Grandfathered participants may be protected by the no worse off rule. Your care planner will confirm what applies before services start.

Care Management

Coordination, planning, and navigation of your Support at Home services

Ongoing care management is funded differently from direct services. Under Support at Home, 10% of your quarterly budget is allocated to care management activities. It is not usually presented as a separate hourly participant charge for ongoing services.

Care management covers care planning, service coordination, regular check-ins, and liaising with your care team. The Restorative Care Pathway (RCP) rate applies only during an approved restorative care episode.

Clinical Services

Allied health and nursing services delivered by accredited clinicians

No participant contribution for clinical supports. Nursing, physiotherapy and other clinical supports are fully funded by government under Support at Home. The hourly rates below show the service price, not what you personally pay.

Clinical services are delivered by AHPRA-registered clinicians. Sessions may be delivered in your home, at an Avanti clinic, or via telehealth. Travel may be charged at cost for in-home visits where applicable.

Restorative Care Pathway

The Restorative Care Pathway is funded separately to your Support at Home package - it does not reduce your existing package budget. Up to 2 episodes are available per year, at least 90 days apart. Funding is approved through a support plan review; your care planner can help arrange this. Individual services within the RCP episode are drawn from the clinical services rates above.

Worked example

What a Level 4 quarter can look like

Support at Home budgets are quarterly. For Classification 4, the government published quarterly budget is $7,424.10. Care management uses 10%, leaving about $6,681.69 for approved services in that quarter.

  • Everyday living example: 2 hours of meal preparation at $95/hr uses $190 of the plan, with any personal contribution confirmed before services start.

Important information about these prices

These prices are published in accordance with the Support at Home pricing transparency requirements under the Aged Care Act 2024. Prices are inclusive of GST where applicable, or GST-free where the service qualifies as an exempt aged care supply. Prices shown are the maximum unit price charged for each service type — your actual charges will be confirmed in your individual service agreement.

Prices are subject to change. Avanza Care will provide at least 14 days' written notice of any price changes to existing clients. Updated prices will be published on this page.
